Crowne Plaza Portland-Downtown Conv Ctr

“We came to Portland for just one night and chose the Crowne Plaza for its ratings and close proximity to the venue we were going to. It's only about 15 minutes from the airport. We made our reservation on Expedia and paid less than $200 for a King room. It's in a very good downtown location. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Orion. The normal check-in time is 3pm and we arrived before 2pm, hoping for an early check in. Orion was happy to help and let us know that if we had an IHG hotel account, we could get an early check-in for free. And it's free to sign up for the account. We already had an account. He gave us a King room with a sleeper sofa. They gave us a very helpful information sheet that included lists of close restaurants, the fact that they have a $15 airport shuttle, etc. We were able to reserve a ride back to the airport on the shuttle very easily. They even let you check out bicycles for free. And they have a little shop next to the front desk that includes drinks, microwaveable meals, etc. It is available 24/7. They also have a "happy hour" breakfast from 6-7am for $8 a person. The room was spacious, very clean, and beautifully decorated. It included a tub/shower combo with high quality shampoos, lotion, etc. There was a refrigerator, microwave, Keurig with teas and coffees, an iron with an ironing board, and a steam iron. They also include a complete set of sheets and another comforter in case you need them. We also had a nice business desk and lamps with plenty of plugs in them for our phones and other devices. The bed and pillows were very comfy and supportive. We had a nice tv that had all the channels we could need and a very large dresser. In addition, there is free wifi along with late checkout, when available, if you have an IHG account. I included a picture of the sheet that they gave us with all the amenities available. I also included a picture of the lovely room service tray that we received. The meal was excellent and arrived very quickly. The lady from room service was also very nice, just like everyone we encountered who worked at the hotel. The hotel was very quiet and we never were interrupted. And someone is at the front desk 24/7 to help. We had a lovely stay and were able to relax at the Crowne Plaza. It is well worth the price and we will definitely stay here again when we return to Portland!”
